Is chamoline tea good for u and help with gerd?

Is chamoline tea good for u and help with gerd?

Not really known: There are many varieties sold at stores when one goes shopping for chamomile tea. If one chooses a simple, natural tea that doesn't have other additives in it, then is should be as fine to drink as any other regular, natural tea. It is extremely unlikely that any of the teas have been tested for effectiveness in helping any medical condition, so any claims of teas being helpful are just claims. ...Read more

Gave up diet soda and have IBS and Gerd. Am On 60 mg dexilant (dexlansoprazole). Can I get heartburn from drinking iced tea? And I take my pill at night.

GERD: Good for you for giving up diet sodas! It is possible to have worse reflux from iced tea, but it is usually from the caffeine in the tea. If you're drinking caffeine free tea, it usually does not make GERD worse. As for the DexIlant, (dexlansoprazole) is best to take it 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. I would not recommend taking it at bedtime. Good luck. ...Read more

I drink lots of tea and usually finish a large glass just before bed, then feel it in my throat a few times before falling asleep. NO heartburn. GERD?

Possibly: This sounds like reflux of the fluid you drank back into the esophagus. This can probably be managed by avoiding large volumes of fluid just before you lie down. Try to have your tea earlier, an hour or so before bedtime. Then only take small sips around bedtime if you are thirsty. ...Read more

Nothing wrong: There is nothing scary about what you describe. Herbal (minty) teas are ok although if too concenfrated may irritate your stomach. A small nipple discharge can also be expected if you squeeze your nipples. Try going back to a normal diet and less worry ...Read more

How about gripe waters for reflux and gas issues for babies? How about mom drinking tea w/ chamomile, fennel, and ginger? What probiotics to use?

How about gripe waters for reflux and gas issues for babies? How about mom drinking tea w/ chamomile, fennel, and ginger? What probiotics to use?

Possibly helpful: As someone who practices integrative pediatrics, I do incorporate these remedies for colic/gas in babies. Gripe waters that contain small amounts of fennel and ginger are likely safe as are chamomile and fennel teas (for baby or mom - if baby is under 6m, don't give more than 1 oz 3x per day). Probiotics (bifidus, lactobacillus) have been shown to be safe and effective. ...Read more

I have bad upper intestinal gas and bloat from IBS diet had been changed and probiotic taken daily. Why does simethicone and fennel tea make it worse?

Every person is uniq: Uniquely different. Bloating and gas is from swallowing air. Try not to swallow or gulp. Intentionally breath calmly and make only small swallows but gas can be painful. Can the common cold cause heartburn? Paracetamol? Herbal tea with honey? I have bad heartburn and have taking paracetamol every 8 hours and drinking tea.

Unlikely.: I have not seen the common cold cause heartburn. I have seen tea, including herbal teas, cause such symptoms, especially in those who already require acid reduction. More importantly, please be cautious about your use of paracetamol, or as it is more commonly known in the USA, acetaminophen, Tylenol. The recommended daily limit is 2 grams, or 2000 milligrams. It is easy to exceed this safe limit! ...Read more

Does my baby have gerd?

Does my baby have gerd?

No: Likely not. Even though there is no way to tell without details, it is unlikely. Remember that all babies have reflux - they all spit up. This is why we all buy burp cloths and bibs before we have a baby. But very few have true reflux disease. This only occurs if more severe problems happen like severe pain with spitting or poor weight gain. If you have those symptoms talk with your doctor. ...Read more
