Fell On Back Coughed Up Blood
Viral cold: The symptoms you describe are those of a viral illness or a cold. The coughing up blood may be just from a small blood vessel which broke from the coughing but you should keep an eye on whether it continues and especially if it is getting worse. If so then you should see your doctor. If it stops, then treat the cold symptomatically and you should be better in a 10-14 day period. ...Read more

Could be serious : The two main things I would worry about would be a pulmonary contusion (a lung bruise) or a pneumothorax. It is a good sign that the symptom is getting better with time, but both diagnoses could potentially be serious. ...Read more

Rectal bleeding: Rectal bleeding is abnormal and must be explained. If it was bright red blood and not mixed in with the stool, it may well have been hemorrhoids that bled. 9 week old was sleeping on my chest when apnea monitor went off. Picked her up off of me - she seemed stiff but then woke right up. What was this?
Mgt: I agree that she should be seen. She probably had an apneic episode and then woke up. It is better not to sleep with her, particularly if she has a history of apnea. She should sleep on her back and without any extra pillows, bedding surrounding her head, nose and mouth. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
On bed rest for 2 months on back. And now I'm working on recovering by sitting up. My head feels heavy dizzy could my blood pressure be too low?
Go slow: It's called orthostatic hypotension. There is no routine on how to recover. Just gradually try to sit up. When the dizziness gets to you, lower back to a level that is tolerable or look at something solid and unmoving (ceiling) . Baroreceptors in your vessels regulate your BP and they have gotten "lazy" with bed rest. Just go slow and increase your sitting up time. Takes time. ...Read more

22m old fell from chair&hit back of head yesterday.Woke up threw up 2xthis morning&now has101.2fever.Acting normal, vomit normal.Related2fall or flu?
See doctor: The vomiting could be from something structurally wrong in the brain--a blood clot, etc. However, fever would be unusual with head trauma in an acute setting. Also, acting normal would probably not go along with head trauma. However, you probably ought to play it safe and get baby checked out. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Ruptured a disk?: Sharp pain from any cause will make your BP rise and that's perfectly normal. A sharp pain in your buttock following a paroxysm of intense coughing suggests that you may have ruptured an intervertebral disk with referred pain. Head/ neck injury: Did you get checked out in ED?
