If you don't, you need an x-ray, so bring your ankle to either a podiatrist or an orthopedist, both of whom will have x-rays in their office (better than an er), so you can get diagnosed and treated properly. LBA under 30: I assume there is no radiation so this points to localized lesions in a "youngster." See your doctor for an x-ray -most likely spondylolisthesis-a developmental instability in the 4th or 5th lumbar vertebra. Less likely is arthritis from old injury or a birth defect.
