Could I have a blood clot if I fell down stairs, have a bump on my butt, feel faint, big bruise covering my whole cheel chest pain, difficult to walk?

Could I have a blood clot if I fell down stairs, have a bump on my butt, feel faint, big bruise covering my whole cheel chest pain, difficult to walk?

Probably not: Typically, blood clots in the veins are associated with inactivity, not trauma. A DVT usually gives you leg swelling and a "charley horse" feeling deep in the muscle of the calf. The bump on your butt could be a blood clot in the soft tissues (hematoma). The chest pain could be a chest wall contusion (bruise) or even a rib fracture. I suggest you get checked out by your doctor. ...Read more

Go To ER or Doctor: Anyone who has fallen down the stairs and is complaining of back and chest pain should be seen as soon as possible by a doctor. Considering the age posted for you, it would make your mother at a much higher risk for injury and she needs to be seen now. Call the paramedics, if necessary. ...Read more

Confusing: I know you're limited in the number of characters you can type, but your question is very confusing to me. (maybe it's my american english?) :) for your palpitations: there are many causes/kinds. You need a 24 hour holter recording to see what's actually happening. ...Read more

Occasional wheezing&chest pains, frequent coughs with sore throat and bright yellow mucus. Fatigued easily when e.G walking up stairs - exercise reg.

It's difficult: To make diagnosis here. You still will need lung studies, to tell us what is wrong. We need to examine you. The one who can do it best is your own doctor. Go to your doctor, tell all your symptoms honestly and you can have all the tests needed including exercise test to see why you have problem. Good luck. ...Read more

You need to see MD: Although you are young, your symptoms are very alarming and definitely not normal. I would suggest you follow up with your PCP very soon. Quit methadone after 12 years, reduced to 5mg, on two meds Lisnopril 10mg and Amlodipine 10mg am rapid heart beat and chest pain upon climbing stairs?

R/O Cardiomyopathy: You have not provided the results of the CT or stress test. However, these symptoms may be due to an enlarged heart. I am presuming that the Methadone was for maintenance. If you have swollen legs/ankles you may need to see your PCP for further tests, such as an ECHO. ...Read more

31/f daily chest pain, sob just from climbing stairs, tachycardia. High cholesterol. Should my cardiologist not order an angiogram? Have had echo, ecg

No: Unless you're diabetic, your pretest probability is exceptionally low because of your age and gender (estrogen is protective). If your stress test is normal, your symptoms are not due to heart disease and the risk of an angiogram cannot be justified. What if you died during the test to prove that your arteries are normal? (it has happened though thankfully is rare). ...Read more

I'm 24 been dealing with sharp chest pains on left side for years people to me anxiety but hurts. When movin breathin layin down etc. Should I worry?

Get an evaluation: I can't really tell from your question what you have done to get this evaluated. It is worth seeing your doctor and getting a good history and physical done. Your doctor will want to find out when it happens, if there are things that make it worse or better, exactly what the pain feels like, and if there are other symptoms (shortness of breath, racing heart, anxiety, etcetera). ...Read more

Wear a monitor: Did you wear a loop monitor, the kind that can be kept on for more than just a day? It tells whether or not your heart rhythm is normal during these episodes, so you can tell whether you need treatment or if it's just an adrenaline i.e. Anxiety problem, which is a common cause of palpitations including heart pounding at night. A cardiologist can set this up for you. ...Read more
