Still going strong: Check your breast for any sign of yeast infection to cause itching around nipples, or mastitis with which you may have redness or tenderness also. Since after stopping breast feeding, your internal clock still needs a little time to send the signal to stop producing milk, you can expect to feel unease for a while. ...Read more

Continue but treat: I assume you are talking about thrush and diaper rash. You should be treating these as per your doctor. Your nipples should also be treated, but assuming you've discussed treatment options and proper cleaning with your doctor, you should continue breast feeding unless the pain is prohibitive. ...Read more

Probably not: Since breastfeeding moms have been, and usually still are, taking prenatal vitamins or once-a-day multivitamins, having vitamin deficiencies to the point of actually getting symptoms are unlikely.
