What is it? When feeling full even when haven't eaten? I feel like I have a a pile of food stuck in my throat.

Stomach issues: It looks like you've had some work up done (egd/colonoscopy), although, I am not sure of the outcome based on no info provided. You will need to discuss this with your gastoenterologist. But try to look for certain foods that can make you feel worse such as gluten containing foods, dairy, etc. Also, you may have irritable bowel especially if you're having diarrhea/constipation. Look 4 gall stones. ...Read more

It feels like there is food stuck in my throat. if there was food stuck in my throat would i still be able tl swallow? i also have anxiety

Adolescent Turmoil: I understand your discomfort. You would have marked difficulty in swallowing if food was stuck in your throat. Say out loud that “It feels like there is food stuck in my throat”; however IT IS NOT REALITY! This feeling is due to Anxiety. This feeling seems to be symbolic of “Being Stuck in Your Life” due to lack of direction, guidance or motivation. See Psychiatrist for Therapy, Relaxation. ...Read more

3 days- very sore throat. No other "sick" like symptoms. Not getting better. Now feels like there is food stuck in my throat, like a golf ball. Why?

Doctor can check: A very sore throat can be evaluated by a primary care doctor or an ear-nose-throat doctor to see what the cause might be. Sometimes it is a strep throat bacterial infection. Other possibilities include a tonsillar abscess, a viral infection, a throat ulcer, etc... The doctor has to look at the throat to figure out what is going on. ...Read more

Why do I feel like there's food stuck in my throat? right by the collar bone and it feel difficult to swallow

Dysphagia: There could be many reasons for difficulty swallowing food, or dysphagia, and it usually requires an evaluation to determine the cause and to map out a treatment plan. I would make an appointment to see your doctor. In the meantime, I would consider a short course of omeprazole 20 mg once a day. Do not skip the evaluation, even if the interim medication helps. Good luck. ...Read more

Is it true that there is no cure to acid reflux (gerd)? I have this since 2006. I feel like there's a food stuck in my throat. Feel heartburn.Any tip?

Can be fixed: First, objective testing to document gerd (ph test) and correlate symtoms, along with endoscopy, upper GI contrast study and manometry should be done. If appropriate, stertta procedure done endoscopically or surgical procedure can be highly effective, but aren't perfect. See a general or thoracic surgeon with experience in antireflux procedures for a consultation to find out more. ...Read more

I feel constipated, have lower right back pain, feel like food stuck in my throat, no nausea, no fever. I stopped working out 2 months ago. 51 yr old?

Back pain, dysphagia: Your symptoms may be related or not, minor, or more serious. I would ask you: are you/have you every smoked; have you had a screening colonoscopy? Food sticking in the throat could suggest infection or something causing some obstruction, low back pain could be muscular, could suggest a kidney stone or urinary infection, constipation needs further evaluation. You should see your provider. ...Read more
