Esophagus.: You might have an issue with your lower esophagus. It could be a hiatal hernia, diverticula, web or stricture. All of these are benign problems that can usually be improved. Consider this...: Aerophagia (swallowed air) distends stomach & may result in burping. Also, gassiness/ stomach distension after meals can reflect: 1) partial gastric outlet obstruction due to gastritis/ulcer; 2) pyloric narrowing from scar;3) gastroparesis due to delayed stomach emptying (as w/diabetic gut neuropathy); 4) bacterial overgrowth in gut; 5) any malabsorption; 6) pancreatic maldigestion; 7) ibs; 8) more. ...Read more
What is causing me to burp constantly? It feels like there is gas stuck in my chest and the pressure is giving me headaches.
This sounds like gerd (gastroesophageal reflux disease) aka acid reflux. When too much acid is produced in your stomach it flows back up into the esophagus causing burning and burping. Headaches can also result from this problem, but are not as common. Gerd can be managed by eating less acidic foods, spicy foods, chocolate and caffeine. Also, acid blockers (i.e. Pepcid) or proton pump inhibitors (i.e. Prolosec otc) can be used to help reduce symptoms.
On the other hand chest pressure can also be cardiac in origin. Things such as angina can mimic gerd. This occurs when your heart muscle is not getting enough oxygen, and can ultimately lead to a heart attack.
I recommend making an appointment with your pcp (primary care provider) sooner rather than later. A more detailed history and physical along with diagnostic tests will provide a diagnosis, and treatment can be started. ...Read more

Hi, : Hi, I hope you are doing alright because I am answering this 13 hours after you wrote in. I don't know if there is a family history of heart disease, if you smoke, if you are obese, if you have high cholesterol or trigycerides. Chest tightness can occur with asthma. Whenever, I hear about chest tightness I wonder if the person has any chest pain, shortness of breath, pounding or racing heart, irregular hearbeat, numbness or radiation of pain down the left arm. A heart attack can also present as upper abdominal pain or even as pain in the jaw. I hope you are feeling ok. If you had a constellation of symptoms consistent with a heart attack, that would be a reason to call 911. ...Read more

Get checked out: From your description alone, it is difficult to tell for sure what the symptoms are.
