Migraine treatment: Once a diagnosis of migraine has been made, effective management of migraine involves three specific strategies: 1) patient education, 2) nonpharmacological management, and 3) pharmacological (medical) management. See an orofacial pain or headache specialist for evaluation and professional management.

Ans: Well you say a migraine. This is a diagnosis. This term seems to be used loosely now a true migraine headache is very painful and truly crippling. In some people no medication is effective. Just have to ride it out. There are good medications today that can be tried

"...nothing to fear: Unless you've been diagnosed with a heart condition or another medical disorder, you are likely experiencing the physical effects of anxiety (not serious). If you're generally healthy and in your early 20's you can relax and carry on. Bodies respond differently to anxiety, fear, worry, dread. A focus on what you want feels better than focusing on what-if's. Relax and take action.

What might cause a tingling pressure feeling at top of head and top of forehead?

What might cause a tingling pressure feeling at top of head and top of forehead?

Stress/Anxiety: One of the more common causes would be stress and anxiety. Stop worrying about it and try some relaxation exercises. I suspect the symptoms will disappear or become less bothersome. Of course you should see your physician should the symptoms persist. See>http://bit. Ly/1v0GgZh http://bit. Ly/1t1LbhG http://bit. Ly/1gJU36u See my checklist"Overcoming Anxiety and Stress"

Having pressure in upper left side of head at top, feeling sleepy at times during day, could that be serious?

Having pressure in upper left side of head at top, feeling sleepy at times during day, could that be serious?

Could be: New onset symptoms at your age should raise concern, but even those symptoms may still be benign. On top of the list, combining those 2 symptoms could be headaches caused by sleep deprivation. However, this is far from an exhaustive list. You're worried--so go get it checked out.

See your MD: It sounds like you need to have a full exam from a physician as soon as possible. You need a careful history and physical exam to examine these symptoms. Good luck.

Top of head & front of head pressure, feeling fluid in ears and feelng off balance, im scared this has been happening for four days what could it be?

Top of head & front of head pressure, feeling fluid in ears and feelng off balance, im scared this has been happening for four days what could it be?

Doubt migraine: The symptoms are more consistent with a viral rhino-sinusitis. This problem, is most likely viral, but you must see an ENT doctor for an appropriate diagnosis and treatment. The fluid in the ear feeling is most likely from Eustachian tube edema. 4 days duration is consistent with a viral upper respiratory infection. If symptoms last longer, as above, see an ENT doctor.

Feeling dreaming reality, imaging, flash backs, sharp and constant pressure at top left back head pressure keeps worse, MRI clean and daydreaming help!

Feeling dreaming reality, imaging, flash backs, sharp and constant pressure at top left back head pressure keeps worse, MRI clean and daydreaming help!

Your symptoms: Are very concerning. There are many things that should be looked into. I assume your doctors have more evaluations planned. Things from seizures to post traumatic stress and some kinds of migraines may not show up on MRI and ct. Don't hesitate to get another opinion. This could be psychiatric or neurological or a combo of both. Don't give up.

23yo female so scared I have a brain tumor just have a feeling of pressure at the top and side of my head. Doesn't get any worse no other symptoms?

Relax, see dr.: Brain tumors in your age group are not common. If the headache goes away with paracetamol and there are no neural symptoms like confusion, weakness, numbness, double vision, the headache is worse in the afternoon, and no nausea and vomiting, you can relax. Make an appointment with your doctor for a neurological exam and ask if you may need other tests done. Sometimes sertralene can cause headaches.

StumpTheProfessor: I've been thinking about this so much that now I have a pain on the top of my head... radiating down to the structures beneath my"other"head! Sometimes something just can't be figured-out (like why my girlfriend just dumped me).The vertex of your head is innervated by the 2nd cranial nerve, the nose the 5th (nasociliary branch). It's hard to draw a connection.Sometimes this happens, why I don't know

Examination: You need to be seen to be evaluated. Most Dentiists have provisions for emergencies when they are not in. Leave voicemail or answering service message. Perhaps OTC analgesics will help (use EXACTLY as directed on the package) until you can see your Dentist. If pain worsens consider checking in with another Dentist or an Endodontist if your Dentist is not available.

Possible TMJ: If you also are experiencing jaw pain, neck pain, and headaches you may have a jaw joint problem on that side. This is a possibility to rule out. See a dentist well trained in treating craniofacial pain and tmj.

Getting bad headaches for months at top of head with pressure feeling, my head feels sore to touch, like my hair is sore, what could it be? Serious?

Might be TMJ: There are many things you could have. Sometimes significant clenching of your teeth can cause muscle spasms. The temporalis muscles go along side your head and under your hair. Try Ibuprofen every six hours, try a cold pack along the sore part of your head. Eat a soft diet, be aware if you might be clenching your teeth. If so, see a TMJ or bite dentist for help to break the spasms.

See a neurologist.: Check your blood pressure because hypertension can also cause these symptoms. The symptom could also be caused by tension. I would recommend that you see a neurologist and a psychiatrist to sort out a neurological and psychiatric disorders.

I have a blocked, heavy & feel pressure in my nose on top. No mucous though...& then my head feels heavy dizzy & aches. Dr says allergy. Am feeling low?

Sounds like a sinus: You may have sinus blockage and/or infection, which could be due to allergies. Anything unusual happening in your head makes you feel strange and possibly "low". Try your allergy medication, nasal sprays, apply heat packs to the "heavy" areas, inhale warm mist to try to let any trapped mucous out. Don't take anything containing aspirin. If you get fever or this lasts, see someone. Good luck!
