What can cause a sudden heavy feeling in legs at 28 years old? I also workout regularly and eat healthy.

What can cause a sudden heavy feeling in legs at 28 years old? I also workout regularly and eat healthy.

SOME COMMON: Conditions of the lower spine can cause this heavy feeling, but a full evaluation is necessary by your doctor since I do not expect you to have arthritis in your spine at this age. Please see your doctor for definitive diagnosis.

Had an ambulatory phlebotomy on one leg approx 6 months ago and feeling discomfort around ankle and heaviness in leg. No swelling. Normal?

Had an ambulatory phlebotomy on one leg approx 6 months ago and feeling discomfort around ankle and heaviness in leg. No swelling. Normal?

Ambulatory: Phlebectomy is a a good procedure for varicose veins provided that a complete protocol was performed including reverse flow control from the groin to ankle or behind the need to ankle. Incomplete protocols lead to recurrences. Ultrasound examination is in order however a blood clot 6 months after the procedure is highly unlikely.

I have been having a fatigue and heavy feeling in my lower legs for a week now. I do have health anxiety undiagnosed though. What could this be?

It could be: A multiple number of things, certainly anxiety can give you these symptoms as well, however, a physical exam, including neurological exam is needed to tell you what you are feeling. You may need to have some labs done as well to rule out other medical problems with similar symptoms. Get yourself checked by your primary care dr as a start, good luck.

Sounds like the back: You are describing the area cover by a dermatome s1 or s2 (racepinephrine). This problem sounds like has it origin on the back. Herniated discs or back arthritis can cause symptom like this in sensory nerves in the leg. You can use topical or oral medication to calm nerve pain. Also physical therapy to relieve back pressure or derangements can be another treatment

Have had aching feeling down one leg for a few weeks. Now it has a heavy feeling and slight numbness at times in that leg.

Ans: First you need to give a thorough history. For ex. Do you have a back history or do you do repetitive work? StRt with this. Then you need s good exam from your doctor and possible diagnostic testing

Ill get a heavy feeling in my upper left leg. Only occurs at rest. I can walk/run miles with no issues. Comes for about a week then gone about a week?

Ill get a heavy feeling in my upper left leg. Only occurs at rest. I can walk/run miles with no issues. Comes for about a week then gone about a week?

Heavy in LU leg: May be piriformis syndrome which is compression of sciatic nerve by piriformis muscle in the buttocks. Relieved by walking stretching. May be GI constipation, with radiation to leg from pressure. May be intermittent hernia. Would check xray of left leg r/o lesion and assess if could be constipation or hernia or pirifirmins syndrome f/u w/ doc.

I have a painful heavy leg feeling in right side. Had car accident 10/2015 L5-S1 herniation left side worse is it related? What can it be? 216lbs F 20

See comments: I suspect that the motor vehicle accident is responsible for an injury to your back, and you may likely have a lumbar radiculopathy at L-5, S-1 afflicting one or both legs. If herniation points to wrong side, could still wonder about small disc fragment. An EMG test may be of value.

Heavy legs feeling and constant lightheaded feeling. Anything serious this could be?

Heavy legs feeling and constant lightheaded feeling. Anything serious this could be?

Check blood pressure: Light headedness in a 20 year old is not common. Make sure you do not have hypotension (low blood pressure). Also check the drugs you might be taking. In general the symptoms you are having are related to decreased blood flow to the brain. If your blood pressure is within normal limits, then consult a neurologist.

Paresthesias: Numbness and tingling in any extremity can be due to many reasons including sitting or standing in the same position for a long time, nerve injury, electrolyte abnormalities, vitamin deficiencies, etc. See your physician for evaluation. Important: Go see a doctor. You seem to have a bulging disc that herniated and is pressing on your spine. Avoid any lifting, go see your doctor.
