I had a 7lb tumor removed from my abdomen and the doc did muscle repair with permanent stitches will this cause problems with future pregnancy?

No.: A muscle cut for surgery and then repaired is not going to be as strong as one never operated upon. So, with pregnancy the area of the incision could stretch and result in a hernia, but this would not cause any pregnancy issues or affect a baby in any way. ...Read more

I'm running out of time to lose the pregnancy weight. Which exercises can I do to get rid of the lower belly flab?

Postpartum weight: Hi andresparadaiz,

weight loss after childbirth is a common challenge. Unfortunately it's difficult to lose weight in just one area. Depending on how long it's been since birth you may still see some natural skin regression. Strengthening the stomach muscles will help reduce the bulge but not the loose skin. If you are particularly concerned you may need a cosmetic surgery evaluation.

Is bleeding normal with pregnancy I have a pain in my lower belly followed with bleeding. This has been going on for more then 4 days and its not a lite bleeding. The blood is dark red... What does this mean and what should I do?

Call: Call your doctor right away.

20-30% of women will have some vaginal bleeding in the first trimester of pregnancy. First trimester bleeding can have many causes such as:
threatened miscarriage - bleeding, but the fetus is still alive inside
miscarriage - lost pregnancy
ectopic pregnancy - a pregnancy which implants in the fallopian tube
molar pregnancy - abnormal tissue developing instead of a fetus
post-coital bleeding - bleeding after sex from a sensitive cervix
trauma or infection unrelated to pregnancy - small cuts or tears in the vagina or an infection such as pelvic inflammatory disease

since some of these can be dangerous and since vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is always considered abnormal, you should call you ob/gyne doctor for any bleeding. They will be able to check you and treat you appropriately. Good luck! ...Read more

Diastasis recti: It is likely that you have this condition, which is normal, and should not affect your activities at all. On occasion, when the diastasis (separation between the "six pack" muscles) is wide, you can see the intestines moving under the skin. This separation is not a hole (or hernia), and is not dangerous.
