Can GERD cause lightheaded feeling and swollen glands? I am a 41 year old female, have a hiatal hernia. Feeling like food is stuck in chest as well.

Hiatal hernia and acid reflux could cause the esophagus to spasm or even develop scar tissue and narrowing. This would cause the feeling of food sticking or catching. Muscle spasm: Sounds like your neck muscles that extend up into your scalp are irritated. This may have been triggered when the lymph nodes rapidly enlarged. Why is another question - they respond to perceived threats to your body like infection. Moist heat, mild stretching and some ibuprofen might help. Massages good too. If continues or worsens see your MD. http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/guide/neck-shoulder ...Read more
