Urine WBC Esterase 2+ Protein Trace Occult Blood 3+ WBC>30 RBC11-30 Epithelial Cells non renal>10 mucus pres Bacteria few.Have MGUS,Lymphs always high?
R/O UTI: If you have symptoms I would recommend empiric treatment with macrobid pending urine culture and sensitivity . Given underlying MGUS and weakened immune system. Follow up with your doctor for exam and lab testing. Also renal ultrasound/urology consult with cystoscopy may be needed. Increase fluids especially cranberry juice and coconut water ...Read more
Does an urinalysis report of: leukocyte esterase 1+, urine WBC 6-10 and squamous epithelial cells 0-5 mean an infection?
Not necessarily: Voided (vs. catheterized) urine specimens in women are potentially subject to contamination. Urine culture is the definitive method of determining the presence of infection. Another important point is that in older women in the absence of symptoms, this kind of urine abnormality alone or even a positive culture should not be treated with antibiotics (asymptomatic bacteriuria). ...Read more
Occult blood 3+,protein 2+,rbc 20-40, wbc packed,leukocyte esterase 3+,bacteria few,squamous epithelial cells 6-10. All else Norm.What does this mean.
Probable UTI: "All else normal"?? What's left? That's most of the urinalysis. It strongly suggests you have a urinary tract infection. It could be an STD, if at risk, but less likely. Certain non-infectious kidney diseases could cause these things. But UTI is by far the best bet. Discuss with the doctor who ordered the test; probably you need an antibiotic prescription. ...Read more
White blood cells: Leukocytes is the fancy term for white blood cells. Leukocytes can be present when there is inflammation or other immune system response even if there is no evidence of infection. This could be because the infection is not detected (i.E virus not tested for) or it is not an infection but some other cause of inflammation (injury, autoimmune, etc.). See your doctor for further assistance. ...Read more
Maybe: The fecal occult blood test can be quite sensitive and may show blood in the stool from minor gastritis or esophagitis that is not significant. But, it could also be due to a large polyp or tumor so colonoscopy is always indicated when the fecal occult blood test is positive. Your primary doctor should be arranging this in the near future. ...Read more
Urinalysis result leukocytes esterase +2 urobilinogen +1 bilirubin +1 erythrocyte +1 pus cells 15 to 20 hpf bacteria few?
Symptoms?: If you are having symptoms, like burning when you urinate, voiding too often or having urgency, this taste could indicate a urinary tract infection. However, an improperly collected specimen can also give an abnormal urinalysis. See your doc if you have symptoms. If you don't see him and repeat the test in a couple of weeks or so. A urine culture shows what bacteria might be causing this, if any ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Urine sample (with stringy floating white pieces) has TRACE bacteria and MODERATE leukocytes. No blood, nitrites, ketones, bilirubin. Diagnosis?
That is probably a: normal looking urine, with some asymptomatic bacteriuria (presence of bacteria without causing infection). The long stringy white stuff is protein or casts that have polymerized in the urine. If you have symptoms of UTI, then you can be treated, but if not then you do not need immediate treatment. Repeat urinalysis for protein presence may be recommended at this time. ...Read more

No UTI symptoms, no HX of any bladder or urinary ?
Had urinalysis. Leukocyte+1 blood trace, rbc 1-5, wbc, 1-5, epithelial **, bacteria few, urine comment yeast. What does this all ,mean no symptoms.?
On urine test results, urine hemoglobin=trace-intact, urine microscopic = indicated, wbc/hpf=0-3, rbc/hpf=0-3. What do these results & terms mean?
Normal: The WBC and rbc are referring to the number of white blood cells and red blood cells seen in a range of microscopic fields of sampled by the lab technician. The number of these cells (0 to 3) for both types of cell is within the normal limits expected. These normal, scattered red cells are enough to cause a trace of hemoglobin on the chemistry test. So these are all normal results. ...Read more
Had blood and urinalysis 7/15. Blood work was all normal but urine showed creatinine level of 409, trace protein, trace leukocyte esterase, WBC, hyali?
Stop worrying: I understand you have fibromuscular dysplasia of the renal arteries and hope this can be addressed. The urine creatinine, trace protein and hyaline casts are non-issues, the trace of leukocyte esterase and white cells (unless very numerous or you have symptoms of infection) are likely contamination, and if your physician is not concerned, I would not be either. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
