I am suffering from fatigue, headaches, low libido, and thinning hair. Could my hormones low?

Could be thyroid: While there are several things that can cause a constellation of symptoms as described above, a low thyroid is a common cause. Hypothyroidism is the low production of "thyroid hormones" caused by a weakness in the thyroid gland which can be damaged by an over-enthusiastic immune system. The thyroid gland is responsible for energy and metabolism in part and low levels can cause fatigue and more. ...Read more

Hair Loss (Definition)

Hair loss, otherwise known as alopecia, can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles or fungal infections. There are two main types of alopecia. Alopecia areata occurs when the body's immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic (or androgenic) alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. With alopecia areata, hair can fall out in patches all over the body. With androgenetic alopecia, hair on the head first thins and then falls out. In men, this is called male pattern hair loss; in women, it is called ...Read more

Is maca root good for hormone imbalance and thinning hair due to depo shot.I would like to conceive soon and don't want any prob. from being on shot?

May help after stop: I agree with Dr. Dohan: if you want to conceive soon stop depo shots now; it can take time to rebalance and to be able to conceive after stopping. The best way to restore balance and increase hair is to stop. Maca won't help much while you're on depo but may help restore balance after stopping it. More research is needed but maca is safe and sound science shows benefits: http://tinyurl.com/6372ef ...Read more
