Could be thyroid: While there are several things that can cause a constellation of symptoms as described above, a low thyroid is a common cause. Hair loss, otherwise known as alopecia, can be caused by different reasons, including damage to the hair shaft or follicles or fungal infections. There are two main types of alopecia. Is maca root good for hormone imbalance and thinning hair due to depo shot.I would like to conceive soon and don't want any prob. from being on shot?
May help after stop: I agree with Dr. Dohan: if you want to conceive soon stop depo shots now; it can take time to rebalance and to be able to conceive after stopping. The best way to restore balance and increase hair is to stop. Maca won't help much while you're on depo but may help restore balance after stopping it. More research is needed but maca is safe and sound science shows benefits: http://tinyurl.com/6372ef ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
