Highly unlikely: If you had your gallbladder out for stones, there is a very small chance of having a retained stone but this is unlikely and is usually suspected prep by evaluating your us and labs. There is no real dietary restrictions after gallbladder surgery but patients sometimes find foods that bother them. Im currently waiting for a gallbladder surgery. Cramps from hunger but cant handle eating much food. What should I do to get enough? Low fat diet.

Are "good fats" like fish oil, avocado, nuts, etc., a problem after gall bladder surgery? Or is it just things like deep fried and greasy foods?

Most foods: After gallbladder surgery one should be able to gradually return to eating all normal foods, including all fatty foods. Some do have chronic fatty food intolerance with gas or diarrhea, and it would not matter where the fat came from, only the amount of fat eaten at a time. ...Read more
