No bands-no movement: The pressure exerted by the rubber bands is what makes the teeth move in the desired direction. It takes hours for teeth to begin to move from that pressure, but only about 30 minutes to start to relapse when bands are not on. If you want to get rid of those annoying rubber bands, wear them constantly, and only take them off for the half hour needed to eat and clean, and then get them back on. ...Read more
