If your chlamydia test and gonnerea tests were negative, you have no pain or discharge, it the pathologists way if saying "there could be an infection, we're not sure" it doesn't mean there is one and most often not. Not necessarily: The current recommendation is to not screen women under 21 by pap smear, as cervical cancer is so uncommon at that age. So it is difficult to say what to do with the result. Please remember, though, that a pap smear is a screening test, so many epithelial cell abnormalities, when investigated further, turn out to be reactive or inflammatory in nature. White blood cells: Inflammation found on a pap smear is usually not something to get too concerned about. It means that they detected some white blood cells in the specimen and possibly saw red looking cervical cells. Could be cervical inflammation which is common and does not necessarily mean a problem. They are not an immediate danger but are the breeding ground for nastier stuff.
