Seeing a good physician and having a through exam and diagnostics is appropriate. Depends: It depends on the cause of the pain and injury. If traumatic, then a fracture or a ligament tear have to be considered. If no trauma, then tendonitis would be at the top of list. To start, rest from tennis, ice the area for 20 minutes 3-4 times/day and consider some anti-inflammatories if the pain is not related to major injury. Obviously, seeing an ortho/sports med specialist would be helpful. ...Read more

Soft tissue: Fall onto upper extremity begot acute wrist pain & delayed shoulder pain suggests that shoulder disorder is sympathetic response to primary wrist injury & splinting. Shoulder muscle spasm is likely, followed by tendonitis. In that there was not an instant shoulder injury nor pain, ligament injury is unlikely. Heat, rest , acupuncture, topical Cannabis lotion, & massage are considerations. ...Read more

If a person gets a gradual occlusion and the end organ has alternate blood supply then there may not be pain associated with it. See a specilaist urgently. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
