Why Supplements?: Since you're 17 years old, I am concerned that you are spending time and money wasting it on the supplements that you listed. While some of the substances are present in a healthy diet, there is actually no reason you should be taking them in the form of a supplement. Should be fine: I don't see any significant problems taking all of these supplements. If you have any side effects, however, it may be a challenge to know which is the culprit. Typically, side effects from these are minimal or not existent. If you are taking the prilosec due to the others causing GI complaints, you may want to reconsider this strategy. ...Read more

Supplements: 27F of unknown medical Hx other than metformin. Wants to know if can take several supplements. ANS. If u need to waste money on unproven supplements that may contain dangerous additives (the are no standards for supplements) then you might consider it. I never recommend them. I would focus on diet & exercise so you don't meet to take metformin either. Get your BMI < 25 & you likely won't need it. ...Read more

Yes: While more research is needed, there is a good amount of science on the benefits of each of these on neurologic function. They are certainly safe to try and if i had parkinson's i would take all of those and more. Analysis: Why do you take all these items?. Where did you find such advice? Glutathione is a wonderful anti-oxidant, but does NOT cross into the brain, so of questionable value in bloodstream. Milk thistle extract has questionable benefit in most cases. Alpha lipoic useful in peripheral and central nerve disorders. You are far better off using mixed tocopherols, especially with gamma.
