Frown lines: and forehead wrinkles are treated very nicely with Botox. Also crows feet and bunny lines. The key is not to overdo Botox. Start conservatively, use the lowest unit amount to weakened the facial expression muscles, not to completely inactivate them! Bear in mind that the effects wear off in a few months, it's not permanent, you can make adjustments with subsequent treatments. Hope this helps! ...Read more

Botox is better: If you are looking to minimize forehead wrinkles, Botox is a better option. The cause of those lines is movement of your muscles. Botox blocks the receptors in your brain from being able to communicate with the muscle it is injected into. That in turn reduces muscle contraction, which gets rid of the lines. Dermal fillers are used more for areas that have lines due to lose of volume. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
Can a facial mini-flap lift also soften one "moderately" deep horizontal forehead line (when expressionless)?
Facelift: Regardless of the type of face lift you are contemplating, it's important to recognize that a facelift in general only tightens and addresses the lower third of the face and the upper neck. Forehead lines can be addressed with surgery, too, but that is called a forehead or brow lift. They can be done a number of ways, which should be explored/explained by your surgeon. ...Read more

Botox type injections into static frown lines caused major droopy eye lids. I suppose that ultherapy or peleve would do the same for my whole face?
Options to treat: Lid ptosis from Botox A occurs when the botox crosses the tarsal plate in the upper lid and inhibits the lid lifting muscles or because you are using your forehead muscles to lift the lids and Botox reduces the lift. Ulthera and Peleve can be used to lift lids. Topical treatments are available. I would revisit whoever did the Botox for treatment of the lid ptosis. Or get a second opinion. ...Read more
Which offers a better treatment for facial wrinkles, a fat transfer or a face lift? I have deep wrinkles on my forehead and around my mouth. Will a face lift be effective to get rid of these facial wrinkles, or would injecting fat give me longer lasting r
For : For wrinkles on the forehead, consider botox. Wrinkles on the forehead are the result of contracting forehead muscles and Botox is the only treatment that truly addresses that by temporarily paralyzing the forehead muscles. A facelift is more for sagging skin and would only partially reduce the look of the forehead wrinkle. Filler substances won't address the underlying problem on the forehead. Fillers such as juvederm and Restylane (dermal fillers) work well around the mouth, though. ...Read moreSee 6 more doctor answers

Dysport/Botox first: In this situation, you need to get Dysport or Botox to relax the muscle first. After a few weeks, if the line is still present, you can use a filler to help further improve results. Belotero, although not fda approved for this region, can be used to accomplish this task. Be aware that a very rare complication of skin necrosis is possible with any filler in this region. ...Read moreSee 6 more doctor answers

Would injectable fillers, like botox, be useful for my brow lines? Will an injectable filler treatment diminish the worry lines on my face and between my brows. This deep crease has been there since my 30's, and i'm 40 now, will botox help?
Frown : Frown lines are caused by overactive facial muscles. Fillers mask the wrinkle by adding volume around the muscle with injections that “fill†the skin. Botox is a paralytic agent that stops nerve impulses from moving to the injected muscles, so the muscles relax and do not contract, and the skin smoothes over them. For wrinkles between the brows, Botox acheives better results. However you should schedule a consultation with an experienced surgeon who will determine the appropriate treatment for you. ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
Similar Results: In my experience, both give very similar results. I've had some patients say that Dysport is a bit more natural (i.e. less "frozen") than Botox. Dysport also comes on faster (3-5 days instead of 7-10 with Botox.) I have quite a few patients who request Dysport over Botox and I prefer it when I treat my own lines. FYI you can get a really great deal on Dysport right now with Aspire. (google it) ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
