Wearing glasses since 20 years. Recently bought new eye glasses and feel burning sensation. This wasn't the case with earlier glasses. Please comment?
May be eye strain: It is not likely that the new glasses are directly causing burning in the eyes, but it might be indirectly related. If you are straining your eyes trying to get used to your new glasses, or now actively reading or using the computer more now, you may be creating dryness in your eye that symptommatically is causing burning. if the glasses: Are causing eyestrain after 2 wks of trying to wear them, then go back to the optician that made them first. Have them check to see if they were made properly (correct power and optical centration) then if needed, return to the prescribing doctor for a glasses prescription check. ...Read more
