Many times the mucous membranes can make a clicking noise when the wet surfaces of the membrane and the eye are in contact and are rubbed apart. You may have: a stye or hordeolum. A stye is a cyst-like thing that is fluid filled and completely benign. Warm compresses on top of the eyelid usually will bring it down in 1-2 days, though if it gets infected, you will need antibiotic eyedrops or pills. Yes: Take a picture and show your doctor to help make a diagnosis. The fact it is intermittent makes it less a concern. There may be some intermittent blockage of the tear duct or it may be positional. All the best. ...Read more

See your eye doctor: Go see your ophthalmologist. If you can't get in, see an optometrist. Feeling a popping sensation in your eye is never a good thing, especially when it gets sore. Occasional painfree redness is ok (often due to broken blood vessel) but swollen & sore eye needs to be evaluated. I assume your vision hasn't changed since you didn't comment. Allergic reaction: It sounds like you have a contact sensitivity to some component of the eye shadow. You can try different brands, but there is no "healing" involved; just avoid exposure to the same eyeshadow. ...Read more
