The patient can bring some pictures of himself along, so the doctor can see what the lids looked like in the past (bring also pictures of one's neutral face, tired face, sleepy face, etc..., not just a big smiley face). Bells palsy?: If you have bell's palsy, you would have trouble smiling on your left side, the wrinkles on your forehead would be less prominent on the left and your mouth may droop on that side. Possible: ibuprofen can cause swelling as well as hives. If you suspect it being the problem, you need to avoid it. Many feel that this type of reaction is truly allergic but there is no test to confirm the mechanism. Most can tolerate other types of NSAIDs without problem however and this is unlike NSAID induced asthma which would be triggered by any kind of NSAID other than Celebrex (celecoxib). ...Read more
