Yes: Most ulcers of the stomach are associated with edema of tissue. In prepyloric area temporary blockage of food can occur. In the GE junction blockage can occur making it difficult to swallow. Use of antiacids, H2blockers to reduce acid production and possible antibiotics to eliminate H.
