Use plain vaseline: You may have simple dry skin or a condition called atophy which is a hyper-sensitivity condition that usually associated with eczyema. To keep the skin on the eyelids and around the eye soft and moist, you can do general warm water cleansing twice daily followed by drying the area and hot compresses. Make sure you keep the skin dry.
