Symptoms Of Eye Worms
I'm a healthy 35 year old female who has worm contacts all my life. Now, I'm suffering from dry eyes. What can I do?
I'm 23 and have worm glasses since I was 10 because I am near and far sighted. Is there a procedure that would make my eyes the same?
Eye imbalance: This condition is called anisometropia or an imbalance in the refractive error of the eyes. If the imbalance is large enough glasses alone will not correct it and contact lenses may be required for good vision. Lasik is also a reliable way to correct refractive error and can correct near and farsightedness.
See a doctor: This sounds very peculiar. I cannot think of any medical condition with "green worms" in the eye. She should see her doctor for diagnosis and possible treatment. There are no home treatments for this sort of problem.
Worms???: I don't know what it means to "worm" an eye. If there is direct contact of someone's mouth with your eye, and if that person has an oral herpes outbreak at the time, AND if you have not previosly had oral herpes yourself, then the virus might be transmitted. Within a few days, you would have severe pain in the eye. If that happens, see a doctor immediately. Otherwise, I see no cause for worry.
I have a yellow dot in my eye, looks almost like a small worm. It's constant in my eye and when I read it bounces along. What is it? It never leaves.
I don't know!: Spots or blurry patches that drift in front of your eyes but don't block vision are called "floaters" and they are pretty common. But something that you can see? Perhaps you have some scleral (white of the eye) discoloration of a blood vessel, which you can see, but this is completely separate from a floater. I suggest you consult an Ophthalmologist for an evaluation. Good wishes:)
I have a crawling (Like worms) sensation around my temples and face and now neck and I get this stringy white stuff in my eyes throughout the day. Any?
Crawling: Please have your Primary doctor refer you to a Psychiatrist! You will be well looked after!
See below: New or worse eye floaters require and urgent dilated retinal examination. See the eye doctor.
Pinworms: Yes the worms can be seen. They are about 1/2" long. The eggs require a microscope.
I had a tiny floater in my right eye similar to a segmented transparent worm in shape, now I have another one in the left, how can we remove them?
Three options: Three options: live with it, yag laser, and vitrectomy. You need an exam to establish that it is the floaters that are the cause of your concern. The yag laser is less common and useful sometimes. More likely for bad floaters is vitrectomy. Vitrectomy is generally safe and effective but has a few side effects. Cataract is most common and should be considered.See 1 more doctor answer
How can doctors test for parasites/worms in the eyes because I see worm shapes, have seen them for the past 5 years....Started to think it was normal?
Eye floaters?: It is very rare to have eye parasites and when people do vision is affected and other symptoms like eye redness are usually present. If you have no other eye problems but see squiggly shapes or "worm" like shapes they may be eye floaters. These are usually no problem; most people learn to ignore them. Have your ophthalmologist check to insure there is not another problem.See 1 more doctor answer

Me and my four year old son both has asthma my son is on a bunch of allegry and asthma meds and one for ring worm he wakes up with sleep glued eyes?
Asthma/glued eyes: Is you child taking preventative medication for allergy/ asthma control is asthma under control. If not needs allergy test/referral to asthma specialist how long he has glued eyes. Are the conjunctiva white if one has glued eyes and pink eye as well than it is a bacterial infection otherwise colds/ allergies can caused clogged tear ducts and cause eyes to stick together.See 1 more doctor answer

Swollen eyes and muc: Your symptoms suggest sinus disease, with or without an infection. Please seek your doctor's help to evaluate this condition.
I have touched newspapers and washed hands with soap and DettolAntisepticLiquid b4 remove my lens. Will there be gems/worm eggs from paper get into eye?
No: In the U.S., where the tap water is clean, washing hands with tap water is fine... and regular soap is a bonus. In general, nothing else is needed (no Dettol nor other antiseptics). Also, "worm eggs" in newspapers is not a normal worry... unless the newspapers have been used to catch pet poop. If poop is involved, one can go ahead with using regular soap.
