See an MD: Are you diagnosed with seizure disorder? It's normal to feel groggy and 'out of it' for a while after a seizure, but severe headaches don't necessarily go with seizures and would need to be worked up by an md. See an md, because some seizure disorders are life-threatening if not controlled. A neurologist would be best suited for this.

Eyelid Twitching (Definition)

Eyelid twitching, with the medical term of myokymia, is a rapid, involuntary contraction of a portion of the eyelid muscles due to nervous instability in which a portion of the nerves causing eyelid muscle to contract fire with no external cause. The condition is usually mild, and only felt by the patient without being observable to others. On rare occasions, the twitch can be observed. It is common in the middle adult years and is very rarely due to anything that ...Read more

My right eye has been twitching continuously for the past four months, I also have a slight facial numbness on the right side of my face.

See Neurologist: Twitching of an eyelid is not rare and results from spontaneous firing off of a twig (branch) of the facial nerve (viith cranial nerve). However, numbness of the face, if it is truly present, is the result of lack of innervation of the trigeminal nerve (vth cranial nerve). Inasmuch as these nerves arise from the brain, I would consult a neurologist for an appropriate diagnosis.

I get numbness in the front part of my left thigh when I lay down, have also had eye twitching and severe back pain at times. What is it?

I get numbness in the front part of my left thigh when I lay down, have also had eye twitching and severe back pain at times. What is it?

Varies: They may not all be related. The two most common causes of numbness in the thigh is a "pinched nerve" in the upper lumbar spine or a condition known as meralgia parastetica, in which a nerve known as the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve is irritated at the pelvis. Neither would typically becrelated to a twitching of the eye. Getting a good medical check up might be a good place to start.

16 yr son woke up with tingling/numbness on left side of face and left eye twitching. Had trouble breathing and passed out. Heard gargling noise and found on floor. Doesn't remember anything. Have had mir/ct/eeg/ekg/video sleep and blood work all ok?

See Neurologist: Sounds like your son had a seizure. It also sounds like he had a lot of tests, some not done in emergency room (EEG, sleep study). The doctor who tested him or a neurologist in your area should discuss the findings and help you decide what is wrong and what to do. Sometimes tests reported "normal" can tell us things. To find a neurologist, call your local hospital or medical society.

Left eye twitching now extended to the left face?

Blepharospasm: Possibly could be hemifacial spasm, a neuromuscular disorder that is treated with Botox injections or surgery. The best person to see for this would be a neuro-ophthalmologist who can rule out other causes and recommend a course of treatment.

Eye twitching that turns into small face twitching?

Eye twitching that turns into small face twitching?

Many causes: Certainly stress, anxiety, or dry eyes can cause eyelid twitching. If the twitching is persistent or severe, though, other possible causes such as hemifacial spasm or blepharospasm may be considered. See an eye md for evaluation and diagnosis.

Myokymia?: Random twitching of an eyelid or another small facial muscle, which happens in normal people, is called myokymia (an involuntary, spontaneous, quivering of a few muscle cell bundles within a muscle). Myokymia starts and stops spontaneously. It can last a few minutes to a few days. One should see a doctor if such symptoms persist, keep recurring, or are combined with any other symptoms.

Could be stress>>>: Caffeine, stress and lack of sleep are the top causes of twitching. Check out http://www.2020vision. Com/eye_twitch. Html for more info! Your other symptoms could be from stress, but you should have a physical exam by your doctor to look for other problems.

Can eye twitching be related to Trigeminal Neuralgia? I have TN but I'm noticing more twitching than ever on one side of my face, not just pain.

Can eye twitching be related to Trigeminal Neuralgia? I have TN but I'm noticing more twitching than ever on one side of my face, not just pain.

Complex: You are young to have trigeminal neuralgia, but you describe "twitching" which could be myokymia. If involves most of face, it would be facial myokymia, and you need imaging of your brainstem area. This is NOT a usual association unless you have an inflammatory brain disorder, or focal problems in base of brain. A neurological evaluation is needed.

See your PCP ASAP: Could be a very mild ischemic stroke which is more common in the population. See your doctor ASAP for examination, tests and treatment if needed. Take care.

Mild pain on side of neck, head, eye twitching, its on and off and feel it in my shoulder. My other muscles were randomly twitching to. I have hypothyroid.

Best to see doctor: The upper cervical nerves form the stellate ganglion which can go rostrad to the head for innervation. The lower ones do control the neck and shoulder muscles. It is difficult to just say that the problem is that. It is best to have it evaluated especially in view of the eye twitching.

A Twitch in Time: Blepharospasm is the term used for eye-twitching that can be a manifestation of an underlying peripheral nerve condition or central nervous system process. Acute trauma around the eye can also result in delayed spasm during nerve healing. In many cases anxiety can also cause this secondary to both acute and chronic stress. If stable, consider it only a nuisance. If changing seek an exam.

Does maxillary polyp need to be removed if it is causing major numbness in face up and around eye?

Does maxillary polyp need to be removed if it is causing major numbness in face up and around eye?

Doubtful: Maxillary polyps are extremely common. So common, in fact, that sometimes they aren't even commented on in radiology reports. Rarely do they cause many symptoms, let alone facial numbness. I would see an ENT physician to assess whether the polyp is likely causing you any actual symptoms.

Vertigo, painful lipoma (calf), burning nerve sensation (off/on) leg, numbness in face around eye (left). Rash behind ear down neck.

You are uncomforable: Not all of your symptoms will fit into one neat diagnosis. I'd start with a good neurology exam which can address vertigo, burning leg sensation, numbness of the face.
