Have open angle glaucoma in 1 eye & use travatan. The iris of the treated eye looks like it has a white film over it. Is it from glaucoma or the drop?

Glaucoma: Will not cause a white film over your eye if it is well controlled. Travatan is a fairly thick eye drop and may cause the sensation you're noticing. If this is causing blurred vision or eye irritation, ask your eye doctor to try one of the other glaucoma medications. ...Read more

Infection of the eye (pink eye), tear duct blockage, foreign body or sinusitis. Normal tears have 3 components, aqueous, lipid layer and proteins including immunoglobulin A, which protects from infection. The lipid layer holds the water and protein in. Typical of bacterial: infection in the lacrimal fluid (over surface of sclera & cornea) which is secreted (obtained from blood plasma) by the lacrimal gland over each eye. With irritation, more white blood cells are also secreted into this fluid.
