Eye Looks Like It Has A Film Over It And Is Painful
Have open angle glaucoma in 1 eye & use travatan. The iris of the treated eye looks like it has a white film over it. Is it from glaucoma or the drop?
Glaucoma: Will not cause a white film over your eye if it is well controlled. Travatan is a fairly thick eye drop and may cause the sensation you're noticing. If this is causing blurred vision or eye irritation, ask your eye doctor to try one of the other glaucoma medications. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Infection of the eye (pink eye), tear duct blockage, foreign body or sinusitis. Normal tears have 3 components, aqueous, lipid layer and proteins including immunoglobulin A, which protects from infection. The lipid layer holds the water and protein in. Visible clear film in outer corner of one eye that can be felt & accompanied by excess amount of green "eyeboogers". Do not wear contacts?
