Possible lid cyst: It sounds like you have a cyst (sty) on the eyelid. Apply warm compresses on the closed eyelid for about four minutes, four times a day. You need to see an eye specialist to evaluate the lid and maybe prescribe antibiotic eye drops. Allergies?: Swollen eyelids can be due to allergies. Have you changed soaps, lotions, room sprays or candles, detergents or fabric softeners? Is the swelling in both eyes or just one?
