Possible lid cyst: It sounds like you have a cyst (sty) on the eyelid. Apply warm compresses on the closed eyelid for about four minutes, four times a day. You need to see an eye specialist to evaluate the lid and maybe prescribe antibiotic eye drops. Eyelid bump: It may be a stye or chalazion. Do not press it ,use warm compresses 5-8 times a day and it will open on its own. Don't wear makeup while you have this. You can wash your eye with baby shampoos to keep it clean and to avoid getting more. Allergies?: Swollen eyelids can be due to allergies. Have you changed soaps, lotions, room sprays or candles, detergents or fabric softeners? Is the swelling in both eyes or just one? Try an antihistamine, like diphenhyrdramine or Naphcon-A allergy eye drops, to see if the swelling goes away. If so, stop the new product.
