Vitreous floater: You most probably have a vitreous floater. The clear gel that fills eyeball is normally attached to all parts of the inside of the eye. As we get older it can become more liquid (watery) and detaches from the back of the retina causing your "dirt" floater. This can also reult in a retinal tear or detachment you should see your eye doctor to check the retina for this or hemorrhage (blood). ...Read more

Vitreous floaters: The hairs or lines are due to the shadow in your vision of a vitreous floater inside the eye in the vitreous jelly. They generally cause no harm but are annoying. In rare situations they can be a warning sign of a much more serious problem such as a retinal hole or tear. See your eye md if there is a large increase in the number of floaters that you see. ...Read more
Flashing lights: Flashing lights can be a sign of retinal detachment. The retina is like the film in the camera and is found in the back of the eye. When forces tug on the retina it can cause flashing light. That tugging can also pull a hole in the tissue allowing it to become detached. I suggest that anyone with flashing lights, especially if followed by showers of floaters should see an eye doctor right away. ...Read more

Floaters: Sounds as if you have had a posterior vitreous detachment. This is a situation where the vitreous (jelly) of the eye detaches (not a retinal detachment), it then "crumples" up leaving dots, spots, strands of blurry vitreous; i.e. The "floater". When it pills away, it causes flashes. You should have an exam to ensure the incident did not tear the retina, which could lead to a retinal detachment. ...Read more
Had a eye test and eyes seem fine but I keep seeing a black dot in my vision and even when I close my eyes. It stays on one position then goes?
Vitreous floater: It sounds like you have vitreous floaters, little grayish spots of differing shapes in the vitreous cavity of your eye. These increase with aging, myopia, lattice degeneration, and can arise from retinal tears, inflammation, trauma, surgery. The dilated eye examination is important to rule out serious causes that need treatment. As long as this has been done, just monitor for change. ...Read more

Migraine aura?: It's not clear from your description and it would be helpful to know how long these symptoms lasted, but the "zig-zag prism in arc-like line" comment makes me think of a migraine aura.
