What can I do for wrist pain, mainly pisiform bone? Pain even when i move wrist a certain way. Pinky has felt numb in the past. Brace hasn't helped.

See hand doc: There is a possibility u have a fracture of the pisiform bone as well as compression of your ulna nerve which lies i the same area. See hand specialist for exam it may include special x-rays ( ct scan or mri) and possibly a nerve test. ...Read more

A swollen hand can: Be painful, stiff and difficult to care for even in th absence of fracture. Swelling in the hands and fingers and joints makes everyting feel tight and if the fingers are not gently mobilized, stiffness and even contracture can set in. Ice, antiinflammatories, gentle elevation, stressing passive and active motion, hand therapy all can help. Follow up is important even w/ negative xray. ...Read more

Wrist pain: Wrist pain with motion in an atraumitic hand can be a difficult diagnosis. Since it is with all axis of motion it most likely is a problem with the radiocarpal joint. An eval by a hand surgeon is essential. Good x-rays will help provide a diagnosis. Including kienbocks a vascular problem with a wrist bone. Old trauma: You wrist pain can be caused by structures around the wrist , such as a sore tendon. It may be caused by old wrist trauma that is now becoming a problem..
