There is not enough information to give you a clear answer. If you have had a recent fall, there are many small bones in the wrist that can be injured, and some of them have tenuous blood supply when injured. If you have had a recent injury I recommend an evaluation including x-rays.
If you are over age 50 there is a good chance this could be early arthritis. There are also other possibilities. ...Read more
Wrist pain when I move it up and down but not side to side. Even pulling my hand does not hurt. It seems to get better but always comes back. Thank yo?
Many possibilities: At the top of the list would be some form of wrist tendonitis but other possibilities would include latent injury such as unrecognized scaphoid fracture, ligament sprains, occult masses such as ganglia, avn of the lunate (kienbock's), and tfcc injury (though surely not a classic description). Wrist pain for over a week after accidentally hitting someone in a sport, hurts moving thumb in certain directions. Is it a sprain or something else?
Maybe: Injury, and still hurt in 7-10 days? There is some damage related to the injury. Now you need someone who can touch, feel, and tell you where the damage is, perhaps order an x-ray to see that bones are ok, and then prescribe some treatment to help your body heal from the injury. I suggest you resist NSAIDs-- they stop your body from healing to its potential. Www. Blatmanhealthandwellness. Com ...Read more

Xray time: With the amount of pain and swelling you describe, it sounds to me like you need an xray. Some of your carpal and metacarpal bones, if broken, need to be addressed sooner rather than later to make sure they heal properly. So, you can ice and elevate it now, but I would have it checked out pretty soon. ...Read more
