Lately I have been experiencing extreme fatigue, (especially after eating) I am am anemic and take iron supplements, but never felt so tied before.
See doc again: If you have a history of anemia and are on treatment but fatigue is getting worse, it's time to get re-checked by your doctor. The anemia may not be responding and the cause of the iron deficiency needs to be clarified and treated. Many things can cause extreme fatigue, anemia is just one of them. It requires thorough evaluation with appropriate testing to find the answer. Good luck! ...Read more
Why do I have extreme fatigue after some bowel movements & usually after eating? *I was told I have Acid Reflux and just started Nexium (esomeprazole) in AM b4 food.
Fatigue: There is a very long list of conditions and situations that lead to fatigue, so many other factors must be considered. A full evaluation includes analysis of daily habits and lifestyle (are you getting enough sleep?) plus a full medical history and exam to look for systemic causes. It's unlikely but not impossible that the Nexium (esomeprazole) is contributing, if the fatigue started after beginning that med. ...Read more

You need a:
Complete CHECK-UP by your PCP Primary Care Provider since in a male these symptoms are generally due to stomach disorders (ulcer, gastritis with subsequent blood loss, anemia fatigue) (If you are asking this for a female friend a PREGNANCY test is indicated) before the GI testing!
Hope this helps!

What's the MAX blood sugar spike a non-diabetic person could have that's still considered normal, i.e. shortly after eating, a high carb meal? 200?
Not standardized: Hi. Finger stick blood glucose measurement is not approved for diagnosis, and there is no standardized value for "shortly after" "a meal". The standard for a challenged glucose is the 75 gram oral glucose tolerance test done in the fasting state. 2 hours after a 75 g glucose load, serum glucose should be under 140 to be normal; over 200 is diabetes; in between is impaired glucose tolerance. ...Read more

My blood sugar seems better in the morning after eating a lot of carbs before bed. Why would that be?
If you have: Diabetes you do not want to eat at bedtime. You need to follow proper diet, exercise and medication to keep your sugar normal the entire 24 hours. If you monitored your sugar during the night, you's find it went up a lot and then came down. The high sugar overnight is just as dangerous as high sugar any other time of the day. ...Read more

I FEEL GAS AND BLOATING AFTER EATING WHOLE GRAIN NB I DON'T HAVE CELIAC DISEASE WHAT SHOULD I DO SHOULD I REPLACE WHOLE GRIAN BY REFIEND CARB?
Bloating after meal: Many people think that they have celiac and don't. They unnecessarily go on a gluten free diet. The diagnosis is made by a blood test showing the presence of specific antibodies. If the diagnosis has been ruled out, you may have a sensitivity to gluten or irritable bowel and may want to try a low carb diet. If you drink milk with a meal, this could be the culprit if you are lactose intolerant. ...Read more
