Can a woman use bleach on her face and hair removal cream on her arms during ist trimester of pregnancy?
Okay But Why: It is most likely safe to do both of those but there could be some absorbtion of the cream and depending on the ingredients could possibly have some detrimental effect on the baby. Let's put it this way- if something were to happen to the baby, even if it had nothing to do with the cream, you will probably always beat yourself up for it, thinking you were to blame. Why take the risk? ...Read more
What happens to hirsutism & scalp hair loss or thinning in a pcos woman during pregnancy and during breast feeding? will both symptoms diminish?
Hair, pregnancy: Hirsutism does not change during pregnancy or breast feeding largely because hair that has already grown in will not go away unless shaved/ plucked/ etc. Hair thinning is not so much affected by PCOS to begin with, but women sometimes have temporary alterations in head hair, particularly after delivery. Check out telogen effluvium online. Good wishes. ...Read more

Electrolysis: I'll be very frank with you. . . **i** don't feel it is safe for anyone. I heard there's hormonal pills for hirsutism. ..excessive hair growth, I'm black and I was wondering do these pills stop hair growth on head as well?
No: No, they work on the areas where the hair follicle is sensitive to (male) hormones by inhibiting the effect of testosterone which accelerates growth. In the case of the head (scalp) hair the excessive testosterone effect leads to hair falling (androgenetic alopecia) and this can be mitigated by the anti hirsutism pills. Thus these pills would slow head hair falling, not slow hair growth on head. ...Read more
