Topical Fucidin cream combine with lightening cream is it safe?

Topical Fucidin cream combine with lightening cream is it safe?

Unlikely combination: I don't know of any reported interactions between fucidin cream and the common skin lighteners, which usually use hydroquinone as their active ingredient. But I've never run into a situation where both were used at the same time on the same area of skin. Dark spots are not usually infected, and vice versa. ...Read more

What is the best nappy/barrier cream for babies as my little one was prescribed even with Fucidin but did not do the tricks, he screams in pain?

What is the best nappy/barrier cream for babies as my little one was prescribed even with Fucidin but did not do the tricks, he screams in pain?

Bad diaper rash?: Rashes are hard to describe in words, so for bad diaper rashes, visits to the doctor may be needed. Haven't heard of Fucidin (websites say it is an antibacterial cream; not in the U.S. Perhaps). For babies with bad diaper rashes, we know that not wearing a diaper will help. Zinc oxide creams help, but one must not rub the skin when trying to clean the butt. Anti-yeast creams may be added, etc... ...Read more

Is it possible for me to use Fucidin cream for nappy rash?

Is it possible for me to use Fucidin cream for nappy rash?

NOT REALLY...: Diaper rash is mostly caused by #1. Irritation from urine /stool, #2. Yeast called monilia.
If mild rash, you can use otc decetin cream, butt paste, tripple paste etc, if yeast infection: your pediatrician will prescribe Nystatin or similar cream. Fucidin is an antibiotic, will not help much. ...Read more

Can I use Fucidin cream 2% on diaper rash if it has open soars?

Can I use Fucidin cream 2% on diaper rash if it has open soars?

Not for fungus: Most diaper rashes are fungal in origin and Fucidin cream is an antibiotic so it would not necessarily help the rash unless there was a bacterial component to it, irregardless of any open sores. If the open sores are infected, this cream can help and may also help prevent them from getting infected. Get the rash diagnosed to assure the best treatment if it persists. Good luck to you. ...Read more

Will make worse: Fucidin is an antibiotic cream. It will make a yeast infection a lot worse since yeast is caused by fungus and not antibiotics. Over the counter yeast creams are available at the pharmacy without a prescription ...Read more

5 weeks baby and cord isn't close yet. I have been to GP and he give me Fucidin cream. Today stinks, can I clean inside or only autside the cord?help

Cord: You are right. This is a long time for a cord to remain on. You can clean it with soap and water down to the base of the cord. Your doctor may want to use silver nitrate to dry up the base and encourage it to come off. All the best. ...Read more

My lo has really bad nappy rash and sudocream not helping. I have got some Fucidin cream prescibed for her face can I use this on her?

Yes: Fucidin is a topical antibiotc and if it can be used on the face it can be used in the nappy area. If the rash is bacterial then Fucidin will help. If it is yeast it will not. You can wash her nappy area with a dilute solution of baking soda and water (1 tsp baking soda in 1 cup water) and use an antifungal cream... Like micatin or tinactin (tolnaftate) for yeast. ...Read more

Can you put fucidin cream on abscess? I have one at the crease of where my upper thigh meets my right buttock. Its like a very painful but not white.

Can you put fucidin cream on abscess? I have one at the crease of where my upper thigh meets my right buttock. Its like a very painful but not white.

Open or closed?: An abscess is a collection of pus. If you have a skin abscess and it has not yet opened, no medicine on the skin will help. If it is swollen but pus has not formed, then moist heat can sometimes help. In many cases it is wise for a doctor to drain it--see one! If it HAS opened, then the drainage of pus is the only thing needed for it to start healing; keep it clean and open as best you can. ...Read more

Herpes on lower leg — treatment dicloxacillin 4 times a day and Fucidin cream — that sound like a good treatment?

Herpes on lower leg — treatment dicloxacillin 4 times a day and Fucidin cream — that sound like a good treatment?

Herpes: First of all, you present no evidence that this is herpes simplex. Not even a description of the rash. There's no way to tell you what you have on your leg without seeing it. The dermatologist's basic and best talent is to use his or her eyeballs to make a diagnosis. And while herpes on the leg would be rare, it would require medicine specific for herpes simplex. ...Read more

Am having eczema recurrently. Rashes under skin & itching. Can I take defcort for long. Have used betnovate & fucidin still they recur. Any stronger cream?

No: Those creams are strong enough, please don't self medicate, follow up with your doctor/dermatologist, eczema isn't just treated with topical treatment, other factors weigh in, skin care is important, triggers for exacerbations, diet, hydration and others. Potent local steriod creams can have the same deleterious effects if not used under doctor's supervision ...Read more

Had cyst on bikini line from an infected ingrown hair. I used Fucidin cream to relieve the pain. Now there's a large ball under skin. Needs draining?

Throw away Fucidin: This should not be used this way. It will NOT relieve pain. You are not describing a condition which calls for any antibiotic. If you can squeeze out the contents os this cyst, GO AHEAD. When you empty it of sebum and pus it will heal better and feel better. If you have significant distress, a DR can drain it for you. Sometimes cortisone is injected into these to shrink them. ...Read more

Last week I had a radiowave surgery 4 piles and fissure, doc said it will take 4-6 weeks for pus to stop. Can I use Fucidin H cream to reduce itching?

Consider options: Fucidin is a combo of hydrocortisone and a topical antibiotic effective against gram + bacteria, but not e.coli — which are present in your bowel. Broken or irritated skin allows for increased absorbtion, which is not desired. You may be better off using witch hazel (ie Tucks pads), sitz baths or ice packs to decrease itching and discomfort. As your MD for advice, especially if pus present. ...Read more

5 weeks baby and belly button isn't close yet. I have been to GP and he give me Fucidin cream. Today belly button stinks. What should I do??? Help!!!!

Back to GP: Sometimes it takes a while for the belly button area to close after the umbilical stump has fallen off. Sometimes a health care provider can chemically treat the area in the office to promote healing. If the area has a foul odor then this may be a sign of infection. Also, look for redness and swelling around the belly button as well as a fussy baby. ...Read more
