As kids mature, they become more self assured & independent (usually following ideals instilled by parents) rather than depending on others for validation. HTN and kidney mass: 60F from CA had BP 240/110 and mass in R kidney. Was told to watch and wait. Wants second opinion. Need more details but you need to have a renin measured in your blood and a 24 hr urine done at the same time to see if renin is high or low. It depends: Since I don't know your history, it's difficult to say if your medication regimen is appropriate. This shouldn't be considered a second opinion. Personally, I don't prescribe Xanax (alprazolam) because I am able to lower patient's anxiety with alternative treatments. At a minimum, I hope you're discussing your concetns with your physician.
