I am experiencing vaginal itching. I used a scented body 2 days ago. Itching started yesterday. What should I do?
Irritation? Yeast?: Minor genital area itching occurs from time to time in most women. Washing with soap and water once a day often takes care of it. Or maybe allergy or irritation from the scented product. If it continues or is severe, yeast infection is possible. See a gynecologist: It's a good idea for you to see a gynecologist to discuss these issues. It's possible that you may have a yeast infection. Some people will try an over-the-counter remedy like Monistat and if that does not work then they will see their doctor. MTZ won't help: Metronidazole is not likely to help these symptoms; don't take it. It sounds like you have either a severe yeast infection or maybe genital herpes.
