If ok with surgeon: Different surgeons may have different opinions but i think it is reasonable to begin low impact aerobic exercise and light weights with addition of increasing resistance over the next 3 weeks. Monitor your wound in the progress. It often takes up to 48 hours to assess pain and tenderness after a new exercise regimen do start slowly. Does not matter: If you are taking a mixed diet, there is no need for the protein supplement. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
