When running for 20+ minutes my leg hurts on the left side where the tendons are, doesn't happen when i exercise generally though, only when running?
Could be a few thing: This could be a variety of issues - but if it continues unresolved for more than 2 weeks - a visit is in order to assure continued activity does not advance the possible injury. It could simply require some physical therapy - as a runner myself - it is important to have it checked out. Running is a great activity and does require a few "tune-ups" from docs time to time. Where in leg?: Sounds like you strained a tendon as u have noted and it has not yet healed. Not sure where in the 'leg' you are describing. "leg" in ortho terms means below your knee... Not the thigh.Be more specific in your location of your pain and i'll venture a guess... Sounds like around your knee and thus could be a knee ligament... Or ankle? ...Read more

Strained my muscle/tendon, specif. Arnd semitendinosus tendon area i think, near the inner and back of my right knee when i stretch out my leg to run?
Let it rest: Hamstring muscle/ tendon strains esp.@ the knee take a while to heal.If you strained your "semi- t" then rest , ice , compression , elevation(rice) is appropriate acutely . Avoid running or other activities which will aggravate it. The biggest mistake i see in athletes is coming back to soon after a hamstring injury. There is no substitute for rest. U may be able to swim or ex. Bike w/o re-injury. ...Read more
When I stretch my left leg I get a stinging pain in my heel. I broke my left ankle some years back and pulled the ligaments and tendons in my foot.
Think back...: Although the first thought may be to link the past ankle and foot trauma to your heel pain now. One can never be to sure about these things as there may be a some involvement with your back, specifically, the lower spine. This also could be the true reason for the heel pain. To get to nitty gritty, so to speak, a thorough lower back and leg evaluation is needed. ...Read more

I agree with dr. Fowler, and suggest you get your ankle checked out.
In terms of which type of doctor to see, you have a choice between an orthopedic surgeon and a podiatrist, as this falls into both areas.
Why not go back to the doctor who saw you initially last year? He/she has the unique ability to know how your ankle was a year ago, which may be of help in treating it now.
