After being on 600 mg of tegretol for 4 years dr. Reduced to 400mg. Is it normal to feel out of sorts and nauseas for a few days?
From your other post: At first glance my instinct was to say, "maybe" IF the reduction from 600 to 400 mg. Was being done in one fell swoop & you'd developed a rebound reaction or symptoms of whatever the Tegretol was controlling. However, then, I saw you asked in another posted question something to do with taking Tegretol & Lamictal TOGETHER. I think that could also be very important as related to nauseousness. ...Read more

What is more important: proper hydration or cooler temperature to reduce nausea in early pregnancy?
Acupuncture is best: I think fatigue has a lot to do with how sick you feel, so I usually recommend sleep. Acupuncture has been shown to help in some good studies, and my patients have done very well with that also. It's always good to stay hydrated, but I haven't heard that helps with nausea in pregnancy. Most pregnant women run hot. I've not heard that cooling affects nausea, but you might feel better overall. ...Read more

Don't be too sure...: The GI tract has a very limited # of symptoms to signal its distress--nausea/vomiting, diarrhea/constipation, bloating, pain, fullness, bleeding, etc. As you know, many of these characterize ibs, but are also seen with inflammatory, infectious, ischemic, malabsorptive, and functional disorders. Also, pregnancy is always possible despite use of birth control--no single method is 100% effective. ...Read more

Exercise not bad:
It is not feasible to provide meaningful opinion without examining you and may be doing some tests. However, it is highly unlikely that exercising is the cause of your symptoms. Keep up the exercise. If your symptoms are not getting better, it would be prudent to see a doctor.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
