Now, your mission, should you choose to accept it: stay 153 for the next 40 years (that's easier said than done!). But keep doing what you're doing (good diet and exercise). (this message will self destruct in the usual manner in 10 seconds). ...Read more

Calorie balance: Count calories. In the end you are probably still eating too many calories. Some patients have a hard time losing weight due to another disorder such as a thyroid or other abnormality. If you are sure you are counting calories correctly, then see a physician and possibly also a dietician. ...Read more

See doctor: Basic biology tells us that if you eat more calories than you use, you gain weight. If you eat less calories than you use, you lose weight. Make sure you've done a calorie diary so that you know how many calories you're actually eating each day. Then see your doctor with the information & estimate your calorie use. You doctor can be of great help here. Certain metabolic diseases can cause it too. ...Read more

I eat healthy and exercise, my thyroid is fine why can't I lose weight i'm 5'4" and weight 246?

I eat healthy and exercise, my thyroid is fine why can't I lose weight i'm 5'4" and weight 246?

A common question: This is a question i get almost daily in my practice. The solution is simple to articulate, but extremely difficult to do - you have to eat less. If you are overweight and cutting calories, your body is both hanging on to fat and making you feel hungry - this is hard to fight, but possible. Pick one dietary goal at a time that you are 80% sure you can do; not too hard, not too easy. You can do it! ...Read more

Can you tell me how to lose weight and live healthy if i feel sick and weak every time i try to eat healthy and exercise?

Remember: No one is allergic to all healthy food choices so this means that you just haven't found the right selection of foods that work well with your system. There are those that can be allergic to exercise(this is exceptionally rare though.) It sounds like, just with an optimal diet, you just need to find the right type of exercise routine for you. Consider talking to a nutritionist and trainer. ...Read more

Can you tell me how I could lose weight and live healthy if I feel sick and weak every time I try to eat healthy and exercise?

Dieting weakness: I would recommend a healthy high protein low carb low glycemic diet. Make sure you eat adequate protein before trying to exercise. Your weakness experienced when you exercise may be from improper intake of food before exercise. Start slow with exercise even just walking 20 minutes a day then build from there. ...Read more

Can i exercise and eat healthy on week days and take the weekings off, and still lose weight?

Can i exercise and eat healthy on week days and take the weekings off, and still lose weight?

It depends...: There should be no problem not exercising on the weekends. 5 days of exercise should be sufficient to accelerate weight loss. As for diet, certainly you don't have to be as strict and can allow yourself some treats on weekends, but it you go totally crazy and gorge on junk food during the weekend you can undo the benefits of your weekday diet. So it's best to be moderate in your indulgences! ...Read more
