Just cleanse & dry..: Since smegma is the end products of shedded debris of squamous cells between clitoris and its hood like that in male's glans penis and foreskin. Usually, just gently clean and dry there on regular basis. There is no drug to stop its formation, which comes with widely varying pace among individuals.
Is smegma dangerous, I usually take a shower every 3 days. So I accumulate some smegma during non showering.?
Here are some. ..: Smegma hurts no one, but may pose a issue of personal hygiene, which may be improved by pulling foreskin back to rinse and dry. If personal difficulty in doing so arises, see urologist for timely evaluation and counseling on how to handle it - including possible circumcision which can be done easily under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure.
Clean regularly: Not sure where the hard stuff is lodged but regular cleaning with soap and water on a fully exposed penis should do it.
Hi there can u tell me If its safe to shower once a week if u have smegma & does it cause burning?
I have a small amount of smegma under my foreskin, it's not bothering me so is it ok to keep. I see no need in retracting and washing. Isn't it good?
No.: Proper foreskin hygiene will ensure you won't have foreskin problems later on, such as phimosis. Buildup of smegma can lead to inflammation and fibrosis of the foreskin. Make sure with each bath/shower, you pull the foreskin all the way back, cleanse thoroughly, fully dry the foreskin, then reduce the foreskin back over the glans.
