Hi doctor recently I started belching excessively and have gas and stomach noises with undigested food in my stool my doc couldn't figure out please h?
Stool: Normally, foods are digested and nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream mainly in the small intestine. Malabsorption may occur if a disorder interferes with the digestion of food or interferes directly with the absorption of nutrients. Gas and pressure can occur with dietary changes and/or indigestion. Common causes are ulcers, gastritis, hiatal hernia, irritable bowel syndrome etc. You need a complete medical work up/evaluation. In the meantime try anti-gas bloating medication like gas-x or beano. Also an anti-acid medication like Pepcid (famotidine) may help.

Not cancer: Gas is a frequentl component of the upper and lower GI tract. If there was an episode of diarrhea caused by an organism not part of the normal GI microbiome that has organisms that allow the colon to function normally one has diarrhea and passes gas produced by the foreign bacteria.
