No, and no: The fall caused the bruise. It is a collection of blood in the muscle, not a clot that could go anywhere. A bruise could not cause cataract surgery if that was your question, nor should it interfere with cataract surgery. Just mention it to your surgeon. Not uncommon: Bruising is a sign of blood that has come out of a tear or cut blood vessel. Many foot procedures inherently do so. If the bleeding occurs in one of the deep spaces in your foot it make take a while for the blood to percolate thru the tissue and present as a bruise.
