75% successful: Hta ablation doesn't always work to reduce bleeding. Other options include hormonal therapy, mirena, (levonorgestrel) Lysteda and surgery. If bleeding is the only problem, you might be a good candidate for laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, where only the part of the uterus that bleeds is removed with minimally-invasive surgery. ...Read more

That : That is abnormal. Please be sure your pap smear is up to date and you may need an endometrial biopsy. I am concerned also that you are 55 and still on the pill, please ask your doctor because oral contraception increases cardiovascular risk after age 50.
