If someone has small amount of blood from chapped lips or in saliva and when talking to you a small amount goes in eye are the HIV risks high?
Talking to someone HIV+ & poss Hep. His saliva was landing on my arm and a piece of his potato chip from his mouth landed on my lip. Risk of exposure?
Negligible: If the person you were exposed to indeed has hepatitis, this might be slightly more of a risk than the HIV. But non-blood potential sources of exposure (saliva, etc) carry very low risk of infection and you were exposed on intact skin. I wouldn't worry another second about contracting HIV or hepatitis from this encounter. Stay well:) ...Read more

Is we get hiv while talking is saliva comes with blood while talk is blood comes from mouth while talking is it possible blood comes while talking?
No risk, no worries: HIV is transmitted only by sex or direct exposure to blood, i.e. blood into your bloodstream. There are no exceptions; nobody ever catches HIV without sex or blood exposure. Saliva kills the virus, so even if someone had HIV, and if it were mixed with blood, the exposure you describe would be considered zero risk. If this is your only risk, don't get tested. ...Read more

Unusual complaint: I've never heard anyone complain about this and have no explanation for what you describe. If it makes you brush your teeth, that's a good thing. I see no reason to be concerned about this. If it bothers you, get a dental and medical checkup and see if anything comes up. ...Read more

A dry mouth can come from simple things like not drinking enough water or as a side effect from a number of medications. It can also be a sign of more serious problems such as diabetes and sjögren's syndrome. A salty taste is frequently a sign of blood in the mouth. See a dentist. ...Read more

NeedTheBloodyDetails: Is this person a vampire? If, not, then I can't imagine anything acceptable about blood coming out of the mouth, especially when talking. Now you said "microscopic," which means to me that you can't see it and need a microscope to see it. So, what's with you? How did you see it? Carry a microscope around with you? Anyway, my guess is the gums but it could be lots of things so see a dentist first. ...Read more
