That is safe: It may help you to take 1 excedrin 3 times per day for 3-4 days. For long-lasting migraine headaches, sometimes other remedies are helpful, such as the medicines amitriptyline or propranolol. Are you certain it is a migraine?

No free lunch: Every medication, whether prescription or over-the-counter, has side effects. Whether they're worth risk is an individual decision. Check out http://www. Drugs. Com/pregnancy/acetaminophen-aspirin-caffeine.Html. Then discuss w/your doctor. In meantime, start taking prenatal vitamins to minimize risk for neural tube defects.

Rx"d Contrave to help with weight but, took 1 dose & it was beyond awful!! Nausea, dizzy, migraine. Why so bad side effect? Is there OTC that can help

You aren't alone: I've heard this from patients before. Contrave includes an opioid blocking medicine, so it's not surprising that if it blocks your (natural or artificial) pain-relieving signals that it could cause migraines. Feel free to consult me to discuss further.

I took Zoloft at eleven o'clock yesterday morning and I have a migraine. Is it safe to take an ibuprofen or an Excedrin without horrible side effects?

I took Zoloft at eleven o'clock yesterday morning and I have a migraine. Is it safe to take an ibuprofen or an Excedrin without horrible side effects?

Be careful: Avoid ibuprofen and all NSAIDs, also compounds containing aspirin as excedrin migraine, all those can interact with zoloft and cause increased risk of bleeding or CNS symptoms, if used without caution. You may want to use preparations like excedrin tension headache which contains acetaminophem and caffeine for now, no aspirin in it, and on your next doctor's visit address this issue, good luck

Migraine headache: Migraine is a disorder of recurrent attacks. A typical migraine attack progresses through four phases: the prodrome, the aura, the headache, and the postdrome. Migraine going on a week now, right side through eye & wrapping around to the back of my head & neck. Dizziness and fatigue. No relief. Help?

Get seen now,: Any change in the pattern of a migraine is worrying. Pain for a week without relief is also worrying. Please call your doc or go to an ER and be checked to be sure this is not something potentially life threatening. We cannot replace damaged brains!

Bad Headache even with migraine meds stiff neck and nausea on and off, side weak and cramping and dizziness, should I go to the er or Dr

NOT ER: Call doctor and get therapeutic intervention. ER is bright, noisy, crowded, expensive and you have long waits, sort of bad place for someone with a severe headache.

Migraine, light headed, dizziness, head hurts, rinding in ears, cognitive delta, tingle in one side stiff neck w/ throbbing pain. What can this be?

Migraine, light headed, dizziness, head hurts, rinding in ears, cognitive delta, tingle in one side stiff neck w/ throbbing pain. What can this be?

Migraine/seizure, etc: If similar to past migraines-not huge worry. If never had before-could be virus or serious from seizure to meningitis.Impt enough to seek immed help & rule out dangerous causes. If those are ruled out, could be anything from pinched cervical nerve to trigeminal neuralgia, or neurologic pain complex set off by thoracic or cervical dysfunctions. Good osteopathic hx and phys could help find & fix.

Postdromal migraine or brain tumor? Mild pain on left side of head, ringing ears, ear fullness and dizziness for 4 days after week long migraine.

Postdromal migraine or brain tumor? Mild pain on left side of head, ringing ears, ear fullness and dizziness for 4 days after week long migraine.

How about neither?: There seems to be an inexplicable epidemic of brain tumor anxiety among otherwise young healthy people. Like that furshlugginer ice bucket challenge that had the unintended consequence of an epidemic of ALS anxiety among otherwise healthy young people. - This may have been a viral infection that spread to your middle & inner ear. If it persists more than a few more days, see your doctor.

Everytime I look down I go dizzy. Is this a migraine?

Not necessarily: If you mean that the room spins, that is vertigo type of dizziness and could be related to inner ears.

I had a migraine two days ago and still feel dizzy and slight headache. Is this normal?

Yes: This is pretty typical for a migraine - I call it the migraine hangover with my patients though we have better names for it. Usually if you treat the migraine early in the process and knock it out the hangover phase isn't too bad.
