Eumovate Ointment On Lips
Used retin A (tretinoin) twice on penis head...skin burned, reddish and sore patches. applying Vaseline, moisturizer for 3 days. can I apply Betnovate ointment?
Stop: I have no idea why you want to put Retin A (tretinoin) on your penis head since there is no wrinkle there. If anything, try topical hydrocortisone for a few days to calm the inflammation down (I presume however that Betnovate is a brand of cortisone containing betamethasone . If so, it is ok to use it once a day for 3-4 days but no more). ...Read more
Not for long term us: That is a steroid cream which is not good for long term use on the skin. If you are only using it every now and again on different areas of the face, it won't be a problem. Extensive use over the face or concentrated in one area can thin the skin and/or potentially cause systemic symptoms of steroid use. Other medications are better for management of acne. (salicylic acid wash/benzoyl peroxide). ...Read more
Not the best option: Low potency topical steroids like Locoid (hydrocortisone butyrate) lipocream can help with the inflammation around the lips when they are chapped. They should be used for a short period of time ( a couple days) then transition to a non-steroid option like vaseline petrolatum ointment or aquphor for long term control. Chronic use of steroids on the lips can lead to permanent side effects. ...Read more

Use vaseline or chapstick for dry lips. The redness and pimples around your lips may be temporarily worse when you stop desonide. Maybe: Be cautious in using any steroid cream on facial skin. The mild .5% (cortisone 5) is as high in strength as i would go and then limit use to a very thin layer 2x daily. This may help calm down the irritation, but can also result in some thinning of the skin and a bleaching of your natural pigment if overused.Consult your doc if needed to personalize your treatment. ...Read more
TERRIBLE idea: This is a powerful glucocorticoid and it will make you less able to control the bacteria that cause acne, making your disease worse in a short time. Further, if i'm not mistaken it's a prescription medication and you're unwise to use powerful meds given you for some other purpose in order to experiment. Further, it's likely to cause atrophy of your face. Please don't do this. ...Read more
Ve been using desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) diaper rash cream on my face for my acne. Will the zinc help my skin?
Zinc: Zinc helps repair damaged tissue and heal wounds. There are some articles out there that suggest a zinc deficiency may contribute to acne issues. This of course is referring to dietary zinc deficiency. Zinc oxide topically is often used in sunscreens for its protective effect from the sun's harmful rays.I can't speak specifically about the use of Desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) for acne - but if it helps you then use it. ...Read more
