Estrogen in contraception pills or menopausal hormone therapy have same effect?

If higher estrogen dose is prescribed in addition to HRT therapy in peri/menopause will this help with breast tissue loss? A short time - wean off?

Confusing Q: Hrt is by definition estrogen. Are you suggesting that your doctor is going to increase the estrogen portion of your hrt? To my knowledge, i haven't heard of estrogen being used to help with breast tissue loss. Hrt should be used primarily to ameliorate the symptoms of menopause like insomnia, hot flashes, vaginal dryness. If breasts are your prime concern, how about implants? ...Read more

I through menopause, however, my doc said my estrogen levels are -5.1 and i'm taking estrogen .75 estridaol. Said he didn't know i can't absorb estrog?

Does anyone know how estrogen creams relate to menopause and bleeding?

Does anyone know how estrogen creams relate to menopause and bleeding?

Estrogen & Menopause: Depends on the cream, but about 50% of women after menopause will grow a lining if stimulated by estradiol. Think of Estradiol as a fertilizer. No: Please try to ignore synthetic argument when it comes to medications. Everything is synthetic unless you pick it off tree or pull it off ground or kill animal. Even clover, soy & yam have to be synthesized into hormone product. Check out my discussion at http://alvinblin.Com/2013/04/new-drug-big-pharma-goes-bio-identical.Html. In meantime, Divigel is only plant-based estrogen made by bigpharma. ...Read more
