No: Antibiotics don't cause gastritis although some are harder on stomach than others. Duration&dosage of treatment of nonerosive reflux esophagitis? Have taken protonix 2x20MG for a month, still feeling acid, want to switch to Nexium (esomeprazole).
May be warranted.: If you were diagnosed with nonerosive esophagitis and protonix does not seem to be taking care of the symptoms after taking it regularly for a month, it may be appropriate to switch to a different PPI such as Nexium (esomeprazole). Have gastritis with bad gnawing hunger pains and am finding that esomeprazole 40mg 2x/day makes it worse, waking at 2:30 a.m. to eat. Different dose?
Need endoscopy asap!: You need to see a specialist as soon as possible and have endoscopy to see why you are in so much pain despite taking esomeprazole(Nexium) twice a day. I'm taking cipralex (lexapro) 10 mg and need to upper the dose of Nexium (esomeprazole) to 2x20mg. I already take 1x morning. Is raising nexium (esomeprazole) safe with cipralex?
