Many possibilities: The most common cause is a smoldering infection in teeth, tonsils, bladder, intestine, or elsewhere. Since yours goes away with antibiotic treatment, that's probably what's happening. It is recurring because the infection is recurring - so your doctor needs to run tests to find the exact location of the infection and treat it more specifically. I suffer from granuloma annulare, erythema annulare centrifugum, erythema nodosum, and low IgM. Are these related or might they have a common cause?

Unlikely: These 3 conditions have 3 different auto-sensitivity targets, in the skin. Biopsy appearance is different under the microscope, and treatments are different. The first 2 conditions usually respond poorly to any cream, but are not serious. E. Nodosum can be a sign of a more serious underlying disease, and stronger meds are needed.
