Different.: Auto erotic asphyxiation uses methods other than holding breath, like bags, self strangulation, chemicals etc. this is life-threatening and very dangerous. Holding breath will cause you to faint if you don't breathe out the carbon dioxide. Not recommended since one thing might lead to one of the above to achieve better results. Aspiration is when food or bacteria from the mouth gets into the airway and lungs. This can result in inflammation, and about 25% of the time a true infection will develop.
