Lost Libido: Libido can be lost for many reasons, as can spontaneous erections. Anxiety, depression, overwork, are just some of the causes. 45 ym has low libido, fatigue, weaker erections. Testosterone is 620 (348-1197); but free+weakly bound is11.8%(9-46) or 72 ng. Shall we do anything?
Get some rest: Your level is good. Key is that quality of your erection depend on not testosterone only. Sex is dual function - body and mind. If you are tired (fatigued) because of long and physically demanding work hours then do not expect good erection. Some other factors has to be considered as well. What do you recommend if i take 200mg testosterone shots weekly and still having erection problems?
Go see your doctor: 200mg weekly of Testosterone is a lot of T. Starting dose is typically 1mg/kg/wk which suggests that you're taking enough for someone who weighs 440lbs. Maybe you do! But best to talk to your doc about your concerns. And get your labs checked. You could be at greater risk for heart attack, stroke, blood clots, etc, not to mention hair loss, prostate enlargement, moobs & change in mood for worse. ...Read more
May not: Testosterone therapy is more common now, but a lot of misconceptions exist about it. It can be helpful in situations where a low level has resulted in fatigue and loss of libido. If the testosterone level is very low, then treatment may help with erections. However, many factors cause erectile dysfunction, so it is really important to be clear about the diagnosis to ensure the treatment is correct. ...Read more
I've been doing testosterone shots now for prob a year every 3wks I get 200 what ever they go by. And I've not really seen any dif with erections ?
Good question: Erectile dusfunction may not be related to your low testosterone. It could be true true and unrelated. The initial choice for treating ED is viagra. If your libido has improved the T may be working. I have seen many patients who have been diagnosed with low t but were initially evaluated incorrectly. They never had it in the first place. You should talk with your prescribing doc about this. ...Read more
